GLUCOCROMO
A boost to overcome fatigue, control fats + sugars, rebalance the intestinal environment, and try to lose weight
Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a yeast, also known as brewer's yeast Source of: B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B6, folic acid, B12) Minerals (potassium, chromium, zinc, selenium, lithium, magnesium, phosphorus) High biological value proteins Prebiotics (Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS), beta-glucans)
Anti-inflammatory and immunostimulant compounds (beta-glucans)
Better glycemic control. The yeast is a good source of chromium, a mineral that appears useful for improving glucose tolerance in patients with type II diabetes, promoting normalization of blood sugar through increased insulin sensitivity.
Brewer's yeast is naturally rich in glucose tolerance factor (GTF), a compound that contains a biologically active form of chromium.
Thanks to GTF, brewer's yeast reduces cholesterol, blood sugar, triglycerides, and LDL ("bad") levels and increases HDL ("good") cholesterol levels in the presence of type 2 diabetes
Brewer's yeast contains many nutrients that lower: cholesterol: Beta-glucans Niacin (which also raises HDL levels) Restorative action Brewer's yeast can be recommended in cases of: asthenia (generalized weakness), convalescence and stress conditions; physical - mental fatigue and seasonal changes. Weight control The ability of S. cerevisiae to reduce the hunger hormone ghrelin may partly explain body weight loss without affecting lean mass Chromium is a mineral needed by the body in very small amounts.
What is Chromium for?
It enhances insulin activity and seems to be directly involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Suspected chromium deficiencies have been associated with symptoms similar to those of type 2 diabetes, particularly reduced glucose intolerance and increased insulin demand.
Some studies suggest that chromium intake may reduce LDL cholesterol levels, considered "bad," and increase HDL cholesterol levels, considered "good."
