Pilosella (Hieracium pilosella) is a herbaceous plant belonging to the Composite family with leaves covered by a whitish down (hence the name of the plant).
This plant seems to have, thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, soothing effects on respiratory disorders such as asthma, bronchitis, and cough.
Thanks to its diuretic and draining abilities, it would play a role in the treatment of fluid retention (and therefore against various disorders including swelling of the lower limbs, edema, cellulite); it reduces intestinal gas, colic and has the ability to promote sweating.
Pilosella would also be an ally of the liver (stimulating the liver's bile secretion and facilitating the secretion and flow of bile from the gallbladder) and the urinary system (its diuretic properties are also useful in case of urinary infections because they facilitate the elimination of pathogenic microorganisms through urine).
